Terms of Service
Last updated 20 August 2026.
These terms cover use of masterliftgaragedoors.com and the services MasterLift Garage Door Repair provides. Booking a job with us means you accept them.
Estimates and quotes
On-site estimates are free and carry no obligation. Any price we give before seeing the door is an estimate, not a quote. The written price the technician gives you on site is the quote, it is fixed for the work described, and it does not change afterwards. If we discover additional work is needed once we start, we stop and give you a revised written price before continuing.
Scheduling
We book two-hour arrival windows and we work hard to keep them. Weather, traffic and emergency calls occasionally push us late; when that happens we call you. If we miss a window without contacting you, tell us and we will make it right.
Payment
Payment is due on completion unless we have agreed account terms in writing. We accept cash, check, and major credit and debit cards; commercial accounts may pay by ACH. Returned checks incur a fee. Balances more than thirty days overdue may accrue interest at the maximum rate Connecticut law allows.
Warranty
We warrant our workmanship for one year from the date of service. Parts we supply carry the manufacturer's warranty, and springs we supply carry a lifetime warranty against breakage under normal residential use. The warranty covers the part and the labor to replace it.
It does not cover damage from impact, misuse, weather events, work performed by others after our visit, or normal wear on consumables such as weather seal. It also does not cover a door we advised should be replaced where the customer chose a repair instead; in that case we note the advice on the invoice at the time.
Cancellation
Cancel or reschedule a booking any time before the technician is dispatched at no cost. If the technician has already arrived, a call-out charge may apply. Custom-ordered doors and parts cannot be cancelled once the manufacturer order is placed; the deposit covers that order.
Safety and access
Please keep vehicles, children and pets clear of the work area. We may decline to work on a door where doing so would be unsafe — a compromised header, a structurally damaged frame, or a spring system that has been modified in a way that cannot be safely de-tensioned. If we decline, we will explain why and there is no charge.
Liability
We carry general liability insurance and workers' compensation. We are responsible for damage we cause. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, for damage arising from structural defects we identified and documented, or for indirect or consequential losses such as lost income from a vehicle being temporarily inaccessible.
Website content
Prices, guides and diagnostic advice on this site are general information for the greater Hartford area and are not a quote for your specific door. We keep them current but we do not warrant that every figure applies to every situation. Text, images and layout on this site are our property and may not be reproduced without permission.
Disputes
Call us first. Most disputes in this trade come from a misunderstanding about scope and are solved in one phone call. Anything that cannot be resolved that way is governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, with venue in Hartford County.
