MasterLift Garage Door Repair ("MasterLift", "we", "us") operates masterliftgaragedoors.com. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we do not do with it. It is written to be read rather than to be impenetrable.

What we collect

When you submit a form or book a service, we collect the name, phone number, email address, service address and job description you give us. That is it. We do not ask for and do not want payment card details through the website.

Like any website, our server logs record IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamp. We use those to spot abuse and to understand which pages are useful.

Why we collect it

To contact you about the job you asked us about, to dispatch a technician to the right address, to send you a written quote and warranty documentation, and to keep a service history so the next technician knows what was done last time. We have a legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you initiate.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or pass it to lead brokers. We do not add you to a marketing list because you called about a broken spring. If we ever want to send you something promotional, we will ask first.

Who sees it

Our dispatchers and the technician assigned to your job. Our SMS provider, which transmits the notification containing your enquiry to our dispatch line. Our email provider. Our hosting provider, which necessarily processes traffic to the site. Nobody else, unless we are legally required to disclose it.

Text messages

Submitting a form on this site sends a notification text to our dispatch line so somebody sees your request quickly. If you give us your mobile number we may text you about your specific appointment — a technician's name and arrival time, for example. Standard message rates apply on your side. Reply STOP to any message to stop appointment texts.

Cookies and your choices

The first time you visit, a banner asks what you are happy for us to store. Nothing optional is set before you answer. We do not run advertising trackers, we do not sell audience data, and there are no third-party marketing pixels on this site.

There are two categories:

Strictly necessary — always on, and exempt from consent because the site cannot work without them. This is one entry in your browser's local storage recording your cookie choice, plus the anti-abuse rate limiting on our form endpoints. No advertising value, never shared.
Analytics — off until you switch it on. If you accept, we count page views and which buttons get used, so we can tell whether the pricing guide is doing its job. Aggregate only; it is never used to identify you.

You can change your mind whenever you like using the link, which also sits in the footer of every page. Declining costs you nothing — every part of the site works either way, and blocking cookies entirely in your browser settings is fine too.

Because we honour your choice at the source rather than after the fact, refusing analytics means the measurement code is never loaded at all, not merely told to ignore you.

How long we keep it

Job records are kept for seven years, which is what warranty claims and tax records require. Enquiries that never became jobs are cleared after twenty-four months. Server logs roll off after ninety days.

Your rights

Under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Email info@masterliftgaragedoors.com or call (888) 832-3749 and we will action it within thirty days at no charge. We will not make you jump through hoops.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under thirteen.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects existing customers, tell them directly.
